1. Overview
Every piece of jewellery purchased from Canora Diamonds Inc. is accompanied by our Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty. This warranty reflects our confidence in the craftsmanship and quality of our products.
This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights under applicable law in Canada, the United States, and France, and does not limit those rights.

2. What Is Covered
Our Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, including:
- Manufacturing defects in metalwork, prongs, clasps, and settings;
- Structural failures not caused by accident, misuse, or unauthorised repair;
- Loose centre stones or side stones due to manufacturing defects (not wear-related);
- Defects in finishing, plating, or rhodium coating under normal wear conditions;
- Defects in earring posts, butterfly backs, and chain clasps.
3. What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, including thinning of bands, prong wear, and gradual metal erosion;
- Damage caused by accident, impact, dropping, or crushing;
- Damage from exposure to chemicals, chlorine, salt water, perfumes, lotions, or cleaning agents;
- Damage from unauthorised repairs, resizing, or modifications by third parties;
- Loss or theft of the item or any stone;
- Scratches, dents, or abrasions from everyday use;
- Damage to gemstones or diamonds from impact or thermal shock;
- Plating wear on gold vermeil or plated items beyond the expected lifespan of the finish;
- Stretching or distortion of chains and bracelets from improper use;
- Lab-grown or natural diamonds that develop characteristics after purchase that are inherent to the stone (e.g., natural inclusions visible under magnification).
4. Loose Diamonds
Loose diamonds sold by Canora Diamonds Inc. are covered against material misrepresentation of the specifications stated at the time of sale (carat weight, colour, clarity, cut, and origin — natural or lab-grown). The warranty does not cover changes to the stone after purchase or damage caused after delivery.
Diamonds accompanied by an independent grading report (GIA, IGI, GCAL, or equivalent) are warranted to match the report specifications at the time of sale.
5. How to Make a Warranty Claim
- Contact us at support@canoradiamonds.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photographs.
- Our team will assess your claim and advise on next steps.
- If the claim is approved, we will arrange for the item to be returned via fully insured shipping at our expense.
- We will repair, replace, or refund at our discretion, typically within 15–30 business days of receiving the item.
Please do not send items for warranty service without prior authorisation.
6. Repairs and Servicing
6.1 Complimentary Services
- Ring resizing (one time): Complimentary within 60 days of delivery for eligible designs. See our Returns, Refunds and Exchanges Policy.
- Annual inspection: We recommend an annual jewellery inspection. Contact us to arrange.
6.2 Paid Services
Repairs outside warranty coverage (e.g., prong retipping due to wear, chain repair, replating) are available at competitive rates. We will provide a quote before commencing work.
7. Warranty Transferability
This warranty is transferable to a new owner with proof of original purchase (receipt or order confirmation). The warranty period continues from the original date of purchase.
8. Limitations
- This warranty is void if the item has been altered, repaired, or modified by anyone other than Canora Diamonds Inc. or our authorised partners.
- Our liability under this warranty is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the original purchase price of the item.
- Nothing in this warranty excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.
